St. Mary's School was established in 1989 and is administrated by the Roman Catholic diocese of Varanasi, a registered charitable society. The religious Congregation of the ursulines of Mary Immaculate and actively involved in its administration. The school is under the religious jurisdiction of the Catholic Bishop of Varanasi.

The school aims at the education of the catholic community around and extends its services to the members of the other communities to the extent possible. The school stands for the academic excellence, development of skills and character formation based on the love of God and the service of mankind as modelled in Jesus Christ, with a view to train citizens remarkable for all-round development and sincere commitment to God and the country.

St. Mary's is situated in one of the healthiest part of Ballia District and is therefore, an ideal institution for parents/guardians to whom the health of their children is a matter of prime concern. English is the medium of instruction, communication and examination in this institution.

St. Mary's School believes that a sound, moral, physical and cultural training is as important as academic and scholastic instruction in preparing students for their role in life.
